Mike Wells (Pastor)
Mike is the pastor of Pontesbury Baptist Church and is one of the elders with responsibility for the pastoral oversight of the church. Mike undertook theological training at Oak Hill College in North London between 2010 and 2012, before being called to Pontesbury in March 2014.
Mike is married to Lucy, and they have two sons, Job (11) and Seth (9). Mike was born on the Wirral but spent most of his formative years living near Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. Having attended the University of Birmingham and spent much of his adult life living either in, or near to the Second City, he considers himself an adopted Brummie, minus the accent!
Rob Jack (Elder)
Rob is one the elders with responsibility of pastoral oversight. Rob was born and grew up in the village of Catshill in North Worcestershire, where he continued to live for many years. He relocated to Pontesbury in 2021.
Rob is married to Lisa and they have two grown-up sons, Ben and Tim.
Marcia Kimbery (Treasurer)
Marcia is the church treasurer and also does admin work for the church. Marcia and her first husband, Brent Rich, spent three years at Birmingham Bible Institute. By the late 1980s, Brent was the leader of Barnabas Christian Fellowship in Shrewsbury. They both went on many mission trips to Romania. 7 years after Brent’s death in 2001, Marcia married Bill, the former Pastor of Pontesbury Baptist, and together they served God faithfully for many years in Pontesbury until Bill’s death in 2022.
From her first marriage, Marcia has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys dancing, sewing, knitting and reading.
